1 Prenatal Visit
This prenatal visit will take place in the comfort of your own home and may last up to 3 hours. This visit is designed to deepen connection and trust ahead of your cesarean. We will use this time to formulate your birth plan and preferences, provide empowering guidance and knowledge regarding the procedure, and address any fears or concerns you may have. We are here to provide compassion and support to promote a positive and peaceful experience. Remember—we cater uniquely to YOU. Our ultimate goal is to support you exactly in the way you want. This visit will help us determine how to do just that.
In-hospital Support
We will arrive at the hospital when you do. We will be a constant source of knowledge and support during the period leading up to your cesarean. If allowed in the OR, we will provide informational and emotional support and give you whatever details you would like to know. We can take pictures if desired, and will help you advocate for your preferences. In the case that you and your baby are separated, we will stay by your side and continue to provide support and ease any anxiety. If not allowed in the OR, we will be at the hospital waiting to provide you with support immediately after your procedure. We can suggest post-operative comfort measures, and assist with early breastfeeding support or ensure you are able to pump if you and your baby are separated.
1 Postpartum Visit
This postpartum visit will take place in the comfort of your own home and may last up to 2 hours. We are here to listen—we want to know what is working for you, what is not working, and how we can use our resources and provide referrals as needed to help you moving forward. We want to hold space for you to process your cesarean and talk about your experience without judgement. This is an informal visit and we will follow your lead with whatever YOU want to talk about regarding you and your baby. We will do everything in our power to help you feel supported in this time of change.
